For twenty years, Tom Mooney was editor of The Echo Group of Newspapers in Ireland, during which he specialised in the arts. He has also reviewed for The Sunday Times and The Irish Examiner.

 

In journalism, Tom has won two Law Society of Ireland media justice awards – the latest in 2017 – and he has twice been a recipient of a Mary Raftery Journalism Bursary. 

For his work with the arts, he was nominated (with Wexford Arts Centre) for an Allianz Business to Arts Awards.

Tom was communications officer for the Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann/Wexford Co. Council national fleadh bids in 2017 and 2018; projects in 2019 include Monksgrange 250 Symposium;  Wexford Trad & Folk Trail; Ouistreham Festival of Arts, France ; Wexford Trad Festival and WexArt during the Wexford Festival.
